Ed’s novels and poems have been called mesmerizing, impossible to put down. His exercise routine is, quite frankly, astonishing. Six days a week, he is running, biking, lifting weights or playing handball. On Sundays, this man runs 13 to 15 miles. That’s right, he runs for about two and a half hours. Wow!
His love of competing has led him from small town 5 and 10K races to representing the United States all over the world in duathlon events. His son Bart introduced him to these events and Ed currently has won five duathlon world championships: 2002 in Weir, Austria; 2006 in Newfoundland, Canada; 2007 in Gyor, Hungary; 2008 in Rimini, Italy; 2009 in Concor, North Carolina.
